6 years ago, after living in Nakuru, Kenya for a month, Pastor Wallis and his wife, Cindy took in a 13-year-old Kenyan boy, Sylvestar who had a blind mother and an alcoholic father. Sylvestar came to live with the Wallis Family and has been thriving ever since.  

3 years ago, Sylvestar alerted the Wallis family to the fact that someone had given his blind mother a newborn baby. The 8-day-old baby boy was abandoned by his mother. Sylvestar’s mother was unable to care for the child. Pastor Wallis and his wife, Cindy became the foster parents of the baby boy that they named, Joseph James
